As we move towards mid-summer, the days are becoming brighter and the weather is becoming warmer. July’s Colourtrend of the Month is Smokescreen 0556, a colour reminiscent of the graphite tones so familiar to us from warm, sunny days around the barbecue. Deep charcoal hues like Smokescreen 0556 are a great base to make vibrant hues pop, making colour the hero of your home or garden this season.
From our 1320 Fandeck collection, Smokescreen 0556 is a rich smoky grey with a deep brown undertone. Smokescreen 0556 makes for an ideal exterior colour, creating a beautiful contrast between the colourful tones of your garden and the richness of this shade. This colour acts as the perfect backdrop to any garden setting.
We are seeing a draw to more natural, earthen tones this season with amber, coffee, oat and beige variants gracing the catwalk. Although Smokescreen 0556 is a strong shade, it is a versatile colour too. This makes for an enticing interior shade, capturing the eye with it’s deep graphite tone. Smokescreen 0556 could be used as a main colour for a powerful impact or a feature colour to introduce this iron shade in a subtle way. Smokescreen 0556 works well against rattan shades such as Salter Stone or Tobacco Plant from the Historic Collection, but also complements soft tones such as Temperance, a gentle off-white from the Contemporary Collection with a subtle grey undertone.
